Ice Storage Air Conditioning Unit.
The preferred method for air conditioning systems in small stores, small offices or small office buildings is packaged direct expansion units supplying air coils.
For such applications, the Air Conditioning Unit and the Ice Storage Section are completely packaged.
The heat exchange cycles are effected by using the conditioned air itself, which is passed over the spherical containers.
For charging, the recycled air is cooled by the direct expansion air coil to below 0°C (32°F) and then passed around the containers, making ice inside.
For discharging, warm air from outside is blown across containers, melting the ice inside
